Show lldp text broken

Hello,

When I execute the command "show lldp remote-devices all" the "System name" field is broken, does not show full name and and shows "..." at the end of the name:

Local
Interface RemID Chassis ID Port ID System Name
--------- ------- ------------------- ----------------- ------------------

Gi1/0/43 3   F0:9F:C2:D0:69:XX    F0:9F:C2:D0:69:XX   LAVANDERIA-QUA...
Gi1/0/44 5   F0:E8:29:60:50:XX    18:E8:29:60:50:XX     LAVANDERIA-ADM
Gi1/0/45 6   F0:9F:C2:D0:6A:XX   F0:9F:C2:D0:6A:XX   LAVANDERIA-POR...
Gi1/0/46 4   F0:9F:C2:D0:69:XX   F0:9F:C2:D0:69:XX    LAVANDERIA-TAN...
Gi1/0/48 1   F4:8E:38:60:F4:XX   Gi3/0/22                     ZI - Sistemas ...

How can I see the full name of the device?

Hello,

Without more information, it's hard to answer your question. Output being cutoff isn't unexpected in certain cases. I'd recommend trying another command to output only the name. If you are convinced your switch's firmware is broken, then I would recommend reflashing it. I unfortunately cannot provide any links, because the switch model and OS isn't listed.

Hello Dylan,

Thanks for your help. This situation happens to us in all the N series switches that we have (more than 100), such as N1548, N2048, etc. We use these switches with firmware version 6.6.0.24, but this already happened to us in previous versions.
If we can use another command to see the remote machines through LLDP, it will be welcome.

Regards,

René

Hi, IberostarBrasil. Thanks for choosing Dell. Dylan may need more information from you. But for now, would you be able to bring the firmware up to date?

IberostarBrasil,

So the issue isn't with the command or the FW either, it is just because the hostname is too long to display.

So if want all detail, use this command on a single interface

show lldp remote-device detail gi1/0/48

Let me know if it displays as you like.

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your help. The detail command works fine and help, but is there any chance that the original command (show lldp remote-devices all) will display well the text?
We have a script to collect this information and it would be more laborious to go in each interface.

Regards,

IberostarBrasil,

As far as I know I don't believe so, but let me see if I can confirm that or not.
