Sonicwall NSA 4650 to N3048 specific VLAN subnet
Hi Everyone,
I have been wracking my brain all day in trying to configure a Sonicwall NSA 4650 in a similar fashion to how our pilot test using a NSA 2600 worked during our pilot test.
At present what I am trying to achieve is:
-Sonicwall NSA 4650 configured with portshield interfaces X0-X8 on IP 10.250.0.1/21
-X4 is connected to a N3048 on port 46 non stacked switch
-N3048 switch has VLAN 50 which will be applied to specific LAN ports to force computers to get DHCP address from virtual server attached to ports X2 and X3.
-NS 4650 is configured with default vlan features out of the box
For the life of me I have been unable to get the Sonicwall to communicate to the vlan 50 IP address 10.250.4.5/21 no matter what type of vlan configuration access, trunk or general on N3048 port 46. Any tips on where to start?

Add an IP address on the interface VLAN of the switch, in the same subnet.
Try to ping from the switch to see if the switch see both (DHCP server and NSA).
Also, when you connect the PC, on which VLAN do you see the mac address ?

I do have a lan IP on the vlan in the switch.
In all my tests I have never been able to ping the vlan interface ip, or ping the sonicwall from the switch.
However in one setup the Sonicwall was able to see a LLDP response from a different port on the switch that did not have the VLAN 50 tag applied to it.
