Trunking Issue Between QNAP TS-451+ and PowerConnect 5548
I have a Dell PowerConnect 5548 that I use to run my home network. To this I have connected a Netgear Nighhawk AX8 router, a TS-421 NAS from QNAP, and a TS-451+ NAS from QNAP.
Both the Nighthawk and the TS-421 are configured for LACP using 802.3ad. The Nighthawk is on LAG 1, the TS-421 is on LAG 3. When attempting to configure LAG 2 for my TS-451+ it looses communications with the NAS as soon as I assign the ports to the LAG.
I have the TS-451+ configured with both ethernet ports in trunking mode using 802.3ad and set to Layer 3 switching support, which is how I have the working TS-421 configured. It shows to be working on the NAS in trunking mode when the ports on the Switch are in stand alone mode. The second I turn on the LAG from the switch side, I loose connectivity to the NAS.
What am I doing wrong here?

Hi,
Is it an LACP LAG or static?

I was using 802.3ad on the NAS side and had it configured as LACP LAG on the switch side.

Try changing the port channel load balance mode page 382 https://dell.to/2Prtvva

Just to confirm and make sure I'm reading the manual correctly, this can be executed discretely on a port by port basis and is not a global variable correct? I don't want to accidentally bring down my other two trunk groups.

Yes, that is correct, you can do it per port.
