Both the 5200 and 3300 series switches support IEEE 802.1Q VLAN frame tagging. They are capable of two methods of VLAN membership... static and dynamic. With a static configuration, you specify which VLANs will be tagged or untagged on a port. The only dynamic VLAN memebership available is via GVRP.
Our Layer 3 switch, the 6024, supports protocol-based VLAN membership.
