Type of VLANS

Dear all;

Does both PC33xx and 52xx support following Type of VLANS ?

Does they support only 1. ?

1.Membership by port

2.Membership by MAC address

3.Membership by protocol (IP,IPX etc)

4.Membership by subnet

5.Membership by application or service (telnet,ftp,http etc)

That is correct. The 3300 and 5200 series switches only support membership by port.

I wrote 5 items, which does 33xx,52xx support ? Only no.1 ?

Both the 5200 and 3300 series switches support IEEE 802.1Q VLAN frame tagging. They are capable of two methods of VLAN membership... static and dynamic. With a static configuration, you specify which VLANs will be tagged or untagged on a port. The only dynamic VLAN memebership available is via GVRP.

Our Layer 3 switch, the 6024, supports protocol-based VLAN membership.
