Updating a Stack of S5248

Quick Question...

I am building a VXrail cluster that will connect to a stack (2) of Dell switches.. s5248..

I am putting data and storage through these switches and can afford zero downtime...

A new version of code comes out and I need to update the switches...

Is there a process to upgrade the switches and have zero downtime?

meaning one of the switches will passtraffic while the other one updates.

Is that the recommendation? or is it better to have the switches standalone and not stacked? that way I can offline one at a time and do the update

Hi,

If they are stacked you will have downtime for updates. So keeping them separate is better for your uptime requirements.
