Hi, which port are you connecting the laptop to? Does it have a link light?

Does it show the proper ip addresses and the management vlan is 20 with the command show ip interface

Does it show the ports in access mode with show interfaces switchport

If the ports are showing inactive it is not
connecting, it isn’t making a link, do those ports have link lights? It looks
like a connection issue.

The state of all of the vlans is down. If you run show interface status

Does it show the ports as up?

This is doing my head in..

I've changed laptops, cables and shutdown the port and enabled it again and finally reloaded the switch.

The laptop is showing that there is a  but 1gb connection "no network access" . The interface 1 on the switch is lighting up and flashing

But the interface status is still showing inactive in the cli command.. time to take out the old baseball bat? :emotion-39:

I assume it is plugged into 1/g1? Try assigning vlan 1, which is the management vlan an ip address on a different subnet and see if it will let you connect to that.
