internet explorer will not open Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator

I have two dell PC switches, a 3348 and a 3548. In the past, I have been able to admininster either switch via http. Right now, I can only administer the 3548 via http, I can administer either switch via telnet. I have tried ie and firefox, same result. I have tried several client computers. Same result. I have tried plugging the clients into each switch, same result. The switches are on the same subnet. No VLANs are defined. Using telnet I have 'show' all the things that I can think of and both switches appear to be configured similarly.  IP Addr, of the 3348 is 192.168.11.2, IP Addr of the 3548 is 192.168.3, the IP of the gateway is 192.168.11.1. The message from ie is: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage The option to 'diagnose' is offerd. The results of diagnose are: No problem detected, try refresh ie is actually talking to the switch, it just does not like what it sees. If neccessary, I can write a script to poll the switch to determine why the response is not valid http, but if some one knows of a configuration issue that manifests this way it would save some time. Just the other day I had a similar problem with my Powerconnect 3348.

Internet Explorer 8.0 would not work. Starting Internet Explorer without addons would not work either. I was finally able to get in using an old Windows 2000 PC using Internet Explorer 6.0.
