locking mac address to a certain port

Question

I want to prevent from someone plugging in more than just his 1 machine, so I want to lock his port (e21) down to just 1 mac address. Whenever I try this, I get the following error: switch(config)# int eth e21 switch(config-if)# port security discard e21: Port must be multiple-hosts in order to perform Port Security. When I issue the 'show br add eth e21' command, it shows the MAC address I want, but I can't do anything with it. The only thing I could do is limit the max # of MAC addresses to 1 (until I figure this out). Aging time is 300 sec Vlan Mac Address Port Type -------- --------------------- ------ ---------- 1001 00:10:a4:f8:ed:60 e21 dynamic I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, I checked the online Help files, but no luck. To make this work you have to enable the 'multiple-hosts' options on the port first.  Please try this: interface ethernet e21 dot1x multiple-hosts port security discard exit Cuong.
