Sorry, I misread what you were wanting. There are not any 1G specific modules, as the ports were designed to be used as uplink between switches, however you can use the speed command to limit set the speed to 1G. Page 331 ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_powerconnect/powerconnect-5548_Reference%20Guide_en-us.pdf
OM1 should work at 10G up to 33 meters, lowering the speed may help beyond that distance, but SPF+ is designed only for 10G and slower speeds are not validated to work. You can try it in your environment and see what happens.

Thanks Josh.
So can I set a speed limit on the existing 10GB SFPs (DP/N 0N743D) and that will work over OM1 fibre?
Cheers,
Huw

Hi, the part number DT87G is what we have listed as a 10G SPF+ module for these switches and should work.

Thanks again Josh.
Is there any advantage in getting some 1GB SFPs? e.g. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-PowerConnect-1000SX-Transceiver-Connector/dp/B004GY1S02
Will these even work?
Cheers,
Huw

The port is only designed for SPF+, so those are not validated. I would not expect them to work properly, so trying them would be at your own risk.
