2033E The authentication host or the network is unavailable

I have a Truemobile 1184 Router, an Inspiron 5150 with Truemobile 1300 Card and a Compaq Desktop.

The compaq desktop is hardwired to the Router and the Inspiron 5150 is connected to the Router wirelessly.

Sometimes I am able to connect to the Internet from both the machines, but at other times I get this error message 2033E The authentication host or the network is unavailable, both from my desktop and from my laptop, I am able to access the desktop from my laptop, and also the otherway way round, but connecting to the Internet is where I get stuck.

Another Interesting thing that I noticed is that when I am connected to the Internet from both machines, and when I open up the Web configuration utility for the Truemobile 1184 Router and check the Device Status, there is a red cross in between the Router and the Internet. This really baffles me as the it also says that the cable/xDSl status is not active, eventhough I am connected to the Internet.

I have a SB4200 Motorola Modem which is connected to the Internet always and my ISP is Telstra Bigpond, I have tried contacting the Dell and Bigpond but no solution has come as yet.

Please help....

This issue has plagued me. Quite simply the way I found to resolve this issue, temporarily is to turn off the PC and unplug the cable out of the modem. Wait 30secs and then pug the actual cable into the Motorola modem, then 10secs later turn on your PC.

Works for me. And then it will be back in around 1 week
