Hi mechies,

Dell has not tested Latitude D520 with Windows 8 environment so there are no drivers available. However, you may use the below link, install Windows vista 32bit Bluetooth driver and run it in compatibility mode:

Select the right Bluetooth driver under network tab depending upon the type of wireless card.

To run a driver in compatibility mode you may follow the below steps:

(1)   Install the provided driver and select the destination as desktop.

(2)   Detect the .exe file, right click and select properties.

(3)   Click on compatibility tab and check the “run this program in compatibility mode for” option

(4)   Select Windows vista in the below drop down.

(5)   Click on apply and then ok.

If you have any other questions do reply to the same thread.

Unfortunately the Dell Wireless 350/360 Bluetooth modules are made by Toshiba.

Toshiba have not provided Windows 8 compatible drivers for non-Toshiba hardware.

My advice would be to replace the module with a Dell Wireless 355 module which can use the Broadcom Bluetooth Update.

However the Windows 7 driver will give you most the functionality but you will get an annoying UAC everytime you log in:
