Bluetooth connects and disconnects every few seconds

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum so please forgive me if I'm a bit slow.

Laptop : Dell Inspiron 9400

Mobile Phone : Nokia 2630

Software : Nokia PC Suite 7.1.18.0 (as stated on Nokia website for this mobile).

Problem:  Bluetooth connection keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds.

Phone pairs ok with laptop; all the phone's data appears in PC Suite ok whilst bluetooth is connected, but then clears when bluetooth disconnects.  It doesn't give you enough time to do anything useful.

I've been using computers since about 1986 and can usually sort out most problems, but I am not very knowledgeable about "bluetooth stacks" etc.

I've looked at many forums and Nokia / Dell websites but can't find anyone else with this particular problem.

Would appreciate any help please.
