Can’t find Drivers that work for a 1350 Wireless PC Card on a Latitude C640
I have a Latitude C640 and I’m having trouble with the wireless 1350 PC Card that the computer came with, it just stop recognizing the card, now every time I turn on the computer I get the hardware wizard telling me that that I need to install the Network Controller.
I have tried to install the drivers, but for some reason every time I try, it does not show up in the Device Manager, I have tried uninstalling it and installing it again but nothing seems to work, for some reason the drivers don’t appear.
Under dell support I can’t find any driver for this card to use on my computer.
I just need the drivers; does somebody no were I can get them?
Thanks

Are you sure it is a 1350 PC Card? A 1350 card could not have come with your computer because it is a much newer model. The ones that shipped with the C640 would have been the 1150. All drivers are at:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=&SystemID=LAT_PNT_P4N_C640
under Network. If indeed you do have a 1350 card, let me know and I can find drivers for that one.

Hi Steve,
Yes it a 1350 Wirless PC Card on my Latitud C640, it came with the computer, but I got it from a friend and it was working, but now I can’t figure out what happened to the drivers. If you can help out I would really appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Steve,
The driver work! The card appears on the device manager, but now it says I don’t have enough resources for it to work, I have disable other devices that I don’t use, but still every time I reset the computer to allow changes, I still get the yellow mark under the card in the device manager screen telling me: “This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)”

Has this PC card worked before in this computer? Do you have another PC Card you can try in the slot? You have to figure out if it is a faulty PC Card or a fualty PC Card slot.

I follow your instructions and install a new card that I borrowed from a friend and the new card worked with no problem, and then I took out the card and put my old card back and it also started working, and now is still working, I hade this problem before with the card, so probably I have a faulty card and should get a new one.
Thanks for you help!
