Connecting to local craigslist.org site

Recently I found that I can no longer connect to my local city's site - Atlanta - on craigslist. 

 

I can get to the craigslist homepage which is San Francisco and from there click and be instantly connected to any other city on their list, with the exception of Atlanta, where I get nothing but a timed out page.

I have  a dial up connection and have used both IE6 and the latest version of Firefox, wtih equally poor results. I have tried it after having undone my anti-virus as well as firewall at the suggestion of my ISP, and also cleared my cache and cookies on both browsers, but still to no avail.

 

Any thoughts would be helpful.  At this time I am still awaiting a response from the craigslist help desk.
