DW1702 driver doesn't support windows 10 in Dell Inspiron N5050
Hi, a month back , I upgraded from Windows 7 (that was provided with my product, at the time of purchase) to Windows 10. After the upgrade, there were few problems, mouse not working properly etc.
Some forums of Microsoft recommended to clean install the Windows 10.
But after I clean installed it, soon I saw my WiFi wasn't working any more.
I checked the Dell support web page for my laptop, but found that Dell is not testing or providing support for my product (Inspiron N5050) towards Windows 10.
I did follow the compatibility settings and troubleshooting , re-installing drivers and even re-installing Windows 10.
I also found some web pages by Atheros and did update the driver, but finally what I got is, WiFi connected to my modem but there is no internet access..
I know and understand that Dell is not giving any support for Windows 10, for my laptop. But I want to know if there is any way out , so I could make the WiFi work again.

Inspiron N5050 is not tested for upgrade to Windows 10. There are no Dell drivers.

True. But my question is, if there is any way out so I could make my WiFi back to work normally, without rolling back to windows 7.
I can re-install windows 7 and install all drivers. And then if I upgrade to Windows 10, WiFi works correctly. But there are some more other bugs that get introduced.
It will be helpful to know , if some other driver (of some other Dell product) works in my case...
Or just anyway out, which might work.

Not that I know.
You can try Googling.

These drivers worked for me:
www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php;system=5
Uncompress, go to Device Manager, Update Drivers, point to the location the drivers are in your disk, then choose Qualcomm Atheros AR5B195 from the drivers list, which is the 1702 card chipset. That's it, the baby will be up and running.
I'm typing through it right now.

The unofficial windows 10 reinstallation guide has links to newer wireless drivers. I had problems with wifi after upgrading n5110 to win10, now it works like a dream.
