Dell Inspiron 1420 Bluetooth driver issue

I have an ancient Inspiron 1420 (Windows Vista 32 bit) that I use to run an automotive OBD II diagnostic program that uses a Bluetooth adapter to connect to the vehicle. I installed a larger hard drive and Windows 7 32 bit into and I can't get the driver for the Bluetooth adapter to install. The computer has a Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth + 2.0 EDR adapter and I have the right driver, R140135, for this adapter and Windows 7, but it won't run. I keep getting a blue and grey box that says:                                                           Bluetooth Software

Activate Bluetooth using Fn+F2 or radio On/Off Switch

                                          Cancel Installation

And the driver never loads. The Bluetooth worked with the original Windows Vista Home Basic, but not now. Can anyone help or am I doomed to reinstall Windows Vista?

For the Dell Wireless 355 and Windows 7 try R226750.exe which is newer:

Thank you!!! This worked! I know that my 1420 is an old computer, but it still works great and it runs what I need it for, I have a newer laptop for other stuff.
