This means Your modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error.

Try:

1.Renaming “raspppoe.sys”  at  c:\windows\system32\drivers

2.Uninstall Microsoft Virtual PC 2007/Uninstall Sun’s Virtual Box

3.Disable IPv6 for your connection

4.Reinstall LAN/NIC card drivers

5.Perform clean boot

6.If you ahve Mcafee run Mcafee virtual tech

Request you to follow the below steps-

(1) Go to (Windows+R) Type: “c:\windows\system32\drivers” in the search box and hit Enter. A new screen  opens and you will find raspppoe.sys driver then right click on it and rename it as “raspppoe_orig.sys”. driver then right click on it and rename it as “raspppoe_orig.sys”.

(2) Simultaneously, Uninstall Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.

(3) Disable IPv6 for your connection

(i) Click start and type control panel in search box and hit enter.

(ii) A control panel window appears, click network and sharing Center.

(iii) On the next screen, click the connection you want to modify.

(iv) A status display for that connection will come up, select properties.

(v) Next, you’ll see a property sheet for the network connection. Uncheck the box next to Internet Protocol Version 6; which is, TCP/IPv6

(vi) Click OK

(4) Uninstall modem

(i) Click start, type control panel and select it. Then type Hardware and Sound then click Phone and Modem Options.

(ii) Click Modem tab.

(iii) Select the modem you want to remove, and then click remove.

(5) Disable auto-tuning feature

(i) Click start, Open elevated command prompt with administrator’s privilege and type “netsh interface tcp show global” and hit enter.

(6) Disable any special function on the LAN card.

(7) Reinstall LAN/NIC card driver

(i) Click start, then control panel.

(ii) Click the system icon to proceed.

(iii) When system and the security are selected from the control panel view, select security.

(iv) Click on device manager from the left hand menu list.

(v) The Device Manager will display all installed and found hardware on the computer

(vi) Find the Network Adapters Category and click the "+" to the left

(vii) The Network Interface Controller (NIC) will be listed if installed. Right click the adapter used, select Properties.

(viii) Navigate to the Driver tab in the NIC Properties.

(ix) Selecting the uninstall button will remove the existing driver from the device manger, Click on Uninstall. Return to the Device Manager, select the Scan for Hardware Changes button. The NIC will reinstall automatically.

(8) Reinstall networking in Windows 7

(i) If you're using a dialup connection, make sure you have deleted the connection before you begin the procedure.

(ii) Restart system.

(iii) Click "Start", "Control Panel" and then "Network and Sharing Centre".  Alternatively, from the Control Panel click "Network and Internet" then "Manage network connections"

(iv) Left-click on the Local Area Connection icon. At the top of the window, select  "Diagnose this connection"

(v) It may or may not diagnose something. After it finishes its diagnosis, you can click "Reset the network adaptor" to rebuild the networking for the Local Area Connection.

(9) Reset TCP/IP

(i) Click on Start button.

(ii) Type cmd in the Start Search text box.

(iii) Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request

(iv) Type “netsh int ip reset” in the Command Prompt shell and then press the Enter key

(v) Restart the computer

(10) Perform clean boot

(i) Click Start type msconfig in the search box and press Enter

(ii) Configure Selective Startup options.

(iii) On the General tab, choose Selective Startup

(iv) Uncheck Load Startup Items

(v) Select the Services tab

(vi) Check hide all Microsoft services.

(vii) Click Disable all.

(viii) Click ok.

(ix) Restart system.

(x) After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:

(a) Click Start type msconfig in the search box and press Enter

(b) On the General tab, choose Normal Startup

(c) Click Ok

(d) Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

(11) Uninstall Sun’s Virtual Box

Right-click the virtual machine and hit delete. To reclaim the space taken up by virtual hard drives, then go into the Media Manager (CMD+D is the keyboard shortcut) and delete the relevant disks.

(12) Restart the ADSL modem/router

(i) Power on adsl modem

(ii) Find 1 small hole ( in hole push bottom )

(iii) Push bottom in hole , use small pit or small stick

(iv) Push bottom hold 5-10 second

(v) See led front cover modem ( all led off and on again)

(vi) Old setting Your Adsl Modem will be gone.

(vii) Your Adsl Modem Reset to Default Factory Setting.
