Help!, Dell Inspirion 1750 not connecting to internet
I recently bought a Dell Inspirion 1750, and it says when i connect that it cant connect to INTERNET despite the fact that on my other laptop thats right next to it does.
The laptop can pick up the network and when i connect it using a cable to the router it works perfectly its just wireless.
Please Help!,

The network key was correct, I figured out my problem.
I went into internet protocol 4 properties, typed the DNS, and IP information and that seemed to fix it wierd.
Apparently its a problem in Vista to certain networks, and was fixed in service pack 2, Which is flawed since you need internet to update to that service pack :P

Hi Oliver,
Welcome to the community,
It looks like you have issues connecting to wireless internet, but the wired internet seems to be working,
so what happens when you try to connect to wireless internet?
> Is your network a secure network or an unsecure network?
> Does it says "connected" but doesn't connect to the internet?
> Are you not able to connect to the network at all and it gives you an error message?

The network is private from my router (TalkTalk if it helps)
It says connected access local only.
It also notes the network as being unidentified but connection talktalk
I can connect to the network but on the network and sharing centre there is a cross inbetween internet and unidentified network.
When i click connection status it says IPv4 connectivity Local and IPv6 connectivity limited

Hi Oliver,
Thankyou for the reply,
TalkTalk is your network name (in technical terms it's known as SSID)
Secure network means "if the wireless network has a security / network key or a password"
the reason for you to get the message "connected with access local only" is because of the wrong network key
so if you have a network key for your wireless network than kindly make sure it's typed correctly,
with the correct network key all the message you see related to wireless will be fixed
