Help, can only view half of webpage
Most of my web pages load correctly-I can see everything just fine. Other pages either I can only see half of the page when it's loaded OR it loads so I can see everything but only on half of the laptop screen. Have tried changing my display options to different sizes but that doesn't help. Any suggestions? Can't get tech support chat to work on computer. Thanks

Make and model of your computer is helpful and operating system. 32-bit or 64-bit?

hhedges,
Try Download Latest Java and Adobe Test Shockwave and Flash Players and see if this helps.

This happened once before and I downloaded the newest version of Adobe and then it worked fine. (about 5 months ago)
Today I downloaded both of these but it didn't work this time. (I even restarted my computer after downloading) Java and Adobe Flashplayer downloaded fine. When I tried to test the Macromedia, that would not work. I don't know what this program is or if it needs to work or how to get it to work.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I did have Silverlight so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it to make sure I have the most current version. I then restarted my computer. That didn't help any.

This is my second reply to your post. I just got off the phone with Dell and they said it was a software issue which I have to pay for. They told me to try a system restore but when I tried that it said I had "none" for recovery, restore points. Said it could also be a virus but I have Norton set to the highest setting. I really think it's something I've downloaded that just messed up the settings but I just can't figure out what it was. Sorry, just frustrated.

hhedges,
It is possible that Norton could be part of the problem.
Let's try this first.
Start, control panel, Internet Options.
Security=medium-high
Advanced, Multimedia
All boxes checked except, Always use clear type for html and show image download placeholders.
What do you see now? If it's still not correct, can you give a url of the website and also can you click on Prnt Scrn and this will copy a screenshot of what your seeing at the time. then open paint and paste it there and save the image.
Click on the blue PudgyOne at the bottom of the thread and upload the image there. The copy te direct link and paste it to your next thread, so I can see what you're seeing.

hhedges,
Do you have Internet Explorer set for 75% for a reason? What happens when you have it at 100%?
Did you try going to farmville with Mozilla Firefox? Does the same thing happen? I don't use Farmville, so I didn't try it.
Can you right click on the middle of the game and see if there are settings you can change?
Did you ask them at Farmville about the issue? They may be able to do something.

Oh my goodness! I feel really stupid!!!! It was the 75% setting. As soon as I turned it to 100% it worked perfectly! Thank you so much for all of your help! I really, really appreciate it. I knew it had to be something really simple. You are awesome!
