How to turn on V.44 for Conexant HSF V.92 56K Data Fax PCI Modem

Specs: Conexant HSF V.92 56K Data Fax PCI Modem (mfg:GVC  model:F-1156IV(+)/R2F)

How can I activate V.44 on this modem? The specs state that it supports: V.44, V.42bis, and MNP5 compression standards.  However, the modem manual only lists the following command options relating to data compression, none of which say they are for V.44:

MNP/V.42/V.42bis Commands:
+ES = a,b,c,   Error Control and Synchronous Mode Selection (Default = 3,0,2)

  a   Specifies the initial requested mode of operation when the modem is operating as the originator
 a = 1 Initiate call with Normal Mode (also referred to as Buffered Mode or Direct Mode) only.
 a = 2 Initiate V.42 without Detection Phase. If V.8 is in use, disable V.42 Detection Phase.
 a = 3 Initiate V.42 with Detection Phase.
 a = 4 Initiate MNP.
    
 b   Specifies the acceptable fallback mode of operation when the modem is operating as the originator
 b = 0 LAPM, MNP, or Normal Mode error control optional.
 b = 2 LAPM or MNP error control required; disconnect if error control is not established.
 b = 3 LAPM error control required; disconnect if error control is not established.
 b = 4 MNP error control required; disconnect if error control is not established.

 c   specifies the acceptable fallback mode of operation when the modem is operating as the answerer or
specifies V.80 Synchronous Access Mode
 c = 1 Error control disabled, use Normal Mode.
 c = 2 LAPM, MNP, or Normal Mode error control optional.
 c = 4 LAPM or MNP error control required; disconnect if error control is not established
 c = 5 LAPM error control required; disconnect if error control is not established.
 c = 6 MNP error control required; disconnect if error control is not established.
