How to upgrade Mini-PCI wireless card in my 600m

The toughest part is connecting those tiny U.FL connectors to the card once you insert the card like the RAM stick. Doing so does not void your warranty nor does doing anything else unless you break it or change its "shape". There is some b.s. about not installing a 802.11a-capable card yourself in the manual but you can just ignore that.

I reccomend the TrueMobile dell cards - the TM 1350 (b/g) or its successor TM 1370. For the a/b/g get the TM 1450 or TM1470. Don't bother with Intel cards.

You can use the Dell wireless 1350 or 1370 mini PCI cards. If you want and Intel card then you can use the 2200BG model

stay away from the intel b/g or bga cards.  they have tons of problems. 

I'd like to put in a good word for the Intel 2200BG in the 600m.
Though some really don't like the card, and for good reasons, I have found
it stable and reliable.

I first purchased an Intel 2200BG, but it didn't work with my router in WEP mode (Linksys WCG200). I then picked up a Dell 1450 on eBay for $30. It works great also in WEP mode. My previous card was an Intel 2100 which I had no problems with but it didn't support 802.11g.
