Inspiron 7500 - Problem with PCMCIA not working - "pcmcia mtd-0002" error.
Suddenly my PCMCIA slots are not working and my network card is not working. I am running Windows XP SP 2. Whenever I boot, the new hardware wizard starts and says it's searching for the drivers for the device PCMCIA MTD-0002. It cannot find any drivers on the SP2 CD or on the Internet. Has anyone run into this as well? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you both for responding. I updated the BIOS last night with the latest available here on the Dell support site - Phoenix BIOS A14. I went through the BIOS configurations screens and did not find any options regarding sound or sound blaster. Here is a picture of the device manager on my laptop:
