Intel 2200 BG Card - WPA Security Issue

I recently received my new Inspiron 6000 notebook and I am quite annoyed about the intel card. I can only surf the internet with no security or wep security. Dell Support did absolutely nothing to rememdy this situation and told me the card can't handle WPA security settings. Is this true? I want to have my WPA encryption that I was using before with my DLINK 624 router. Any suggestions?

that card will support WPA and even WPA2 (AES) with the newest drivers.  email intel and tell them you are having problems with it disconnecting and they will send you the newest beta drivers.

I too have a 6000 with the same Intel 2200 BG Card and I'm successfully using WPA encryption!

And if they do send you a link to their latest beta drivers, post that link here.

Thanks for the link.
I'll just grab that for now and keep it in a safe place.

the only ones that I could get to work were 8.1.0.26. I installed 9.0.2.0 and they work great.
