Loss of my wireless connection
Hi there
Hope I can be helped as for some unknown reason I have lost my wireless connection on my Dell 1747 after it working perfectly for just over a year. It has just suddenly vanished ... I have a Dell 1397 WLAN mini-card. On diagnostic check the error code 0x00028002 appeared but I have no idea what that is or what to do next! Our router is a Netgear Range Max Dual Band DGND3300 which is perfect on LAN fortunately. Would appreciate some advice ... in simple terms if poss as I'm not that computer literate!
Many thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd let you know that after resetting our router to factory settings and borrowing my mother's laptop, it was discovered that the wireless function on the router had completely ceased to work. We returned it to the department store where it was purchased as it was still under guarantee. They immediately offered us a refund or an alternative equivalent as they said they did not stock the Netgear router any longer. We took the alternative which is a Belkin and the wireless works perfectly.
Thanks again for your suggestions, Mary.

First thing to try is a reset of the modem, router and computer. Unplug the power from the modem and router and turn off the computer. Then in this order--reconnect the power to the modem first and wait 2 minutes until the lights are blinking happily. Then reconnect the power to the router and wait another 2 minutes. Then turn on the computer and see it that worked. You can also open the Network and Sharing Center on your computer and set up the network again. Do a check on all the cables on the modem and router to see if one is loose.
