Missing information--and no information available--regarding modem drivers directly compatible with Terayon's Comcast-ISP-utilized TJ715 USB-to-Ethernet modem; absolutely required for Windows to detect Ethernet connections

Gentlemen/Ladies:

Can anyone provide a list of commonly-known USB modem drivers which would be compatible with this USB modem that my Internet Service Provider, Comcast, has supplied for my broadband connection?  Not even Bing has any information directly available regarding this hardware; this driver is urgently needed to enable my restoration of broadband network connections on my recently-cleansed local hard disk on my Dell Vostro1000 Laptop/notebook computer(Svc. no/=; network name;DELL-VST_LAPTOP; Brief names:DELL_LAPTOP for LARRY[historical description] or DELL_LAPTOP]).  Beware of clicking on or opening links to some free-driver-download sites such as www.opendrivers.com or their associated IP-configurations which begin with 67.1.23. *--unless you opena link to the listed drivers on their pages, your browser will be misdirected to irrelevant and questionable sites.  Unless someone knows a safe site form which to download sch drivers onto DVD's or CD's, it will be necessary to call Comcast.net and have one of their staff install the right driver or at least provide me with the proper installation CD.( Only in large cities might this be invariably possible on Sundays as well as weekdays or Saturdays.)

I see what you mean.   Terayon is out of business (bought out by Motorola in 2006),  Comcast doesn't have drivers either.

But a cable company in Australia has them.    Downloaded and extracted the .zip file myself and scanned it with a couple scanners - looks fine.   After extracting be sure to read the instructions.txt file in the folder.

Is there any particular reason you need to connect your PC to the modem with USB instead of an ethernet cable?
