Need help with a wireless N router

I just installed a wireless N router for my home network and was wondering if there is a way to change my Inspiron Mini 1010 to accept the N signal.  The mine works on the internet using Wireless G on the network, but I would like to change it to wireless N.  Is there any way to change to wireless N without buying an adapter or changing the wireless card in the mini?

parkerj45,

There are two different types of Wireless N routers, Wireless N and Dual Band.

Wireless N brodcasts on the 5.8gh range.

Wireless b/g broad casts on the 2.4gh range.

Unless you have a dual band wireless router, you will need a wireless N card/adapter for any computers on your network.

parkerj45,

GREAT JOB! :emotion-21: Thanks for posting back. Glad you got it working. Most people don't realize that wireless N is on a different frequency and usually purchasing a dual band router helps solve this issue.

Take care,
