Unfortunately both laptops do not have on-board ethernet ports and if possible I do not want to invest in a ethernet PCMCIA. I would like to use the USB ports if possible. Could you help please. Thanks
After I purchase the above mentioned USB cable for peer to peer networking what are the steps involved in configuring the network. Could sombody in this forum help. Thanks in advance
It varies based on the cable, so you'll need to follow the instructios tat come witht he cable to do it. Thats why I recommend the netlink, because it comes with excellent insutrctions.

No I can't help. I have never Nor would I ever use USB to network anything to anything. So I would not know where to start. Sorry.
But if I'm not mistaken the only way to do this USB to USB is with 2 USB to Ethernet adapters. Talk about cost, WOW.
