Priority assignment for TM1300?

Hi folks:

I have noticed that my TM1300 drops connection under moderate (when several processes may be running simultaneously) to heavy (100% CPU utilization for an extended period) load.  Is there a way to up the "priority" on the TM1300, like you do for a particular process using task manager?  How would one go about doing it?  Change the priority of the "network" service(s)?
