Router wont connect to internet adsl light isnt on...help please!!!!

I'm not too techy and only know the basics and really need help! Basically I couldnt get online although my laptop is connected to the router. I can get online using a modem to dial up. I called Tiscali and they said they basically I need to call the router manufacturer. The power light is on on the router, and my laptop is definately connected, but the ASDL light won't come on. I also can't find a helpline number for my router make ANYWHERE! It's corega COR-BAR-AWLA-54, and we don't have a manual with it. We are so stuck and I really need some help as now I really don't know what to do next. The corega website really wasnt much help and theres no helpline number.

need more info. do u mean the adsl light on the modem is not on? which modem is it, what is the make and model? have never really worked on a Corega router but tell me which are the lights on the router that are either solid, blinking or turned off. is this the first time that you are trying to go online thru the router or have you been online before? are you wired to the router or wireless? do you have any other computers which are able to go online either wired or wireless? or do you have any other computer connected directly to the modem? if not and if you connect the laptop to the modem(given by Tiscalli) not the dial-up, then are you able to go online?

sorry for my rubbish info, I'll try and answer....
Ok, if I plug the laptop into the modem, I can go online, and the asdl light is on on that, but I cant when I try with the router.
The modem is Sagem , I think the model is 8003e (?)
On the router, The power light comes on, and the WLAN light comes on and then sometimes blinks, the adsl light is off.
We have been online for ages through the router and all of a sudden it is now just not working- originally we called tiscali, our provider, who got me to input some commands in the command box and figured out that our IP address was wrong. We have now reconfigured that, and our connection problems are fixed (as we can get online with the modem). The router is wireless- at the moment the icon on the tool bar says not conected but that's because I am online- when I'm not, I can connect to the box but not get on the Internet, although there are no Tiscali connection problems.
 
Does that make sense? Is it any help? Thankyou!!x
