Truemobile 1180 802.11b & WPA-PSK

Is WPA supported by the Truemobile 1180? I have a Linksys Router G configured with WPA, and I am having trouble getting my Axim X5 to recognize it, eventhough the network shows up as an available connection.

No, the 1180 is too old to support WPA.  It will never work on your network so long as WPA is enabled.

The 1180 will support WPA-PSK TKIP with new drivers. Use the 1300 or the 1400 series drivers.

The 1180 is a CF card for a PDA. The 1300/1400 drivers are for a PC card.

Sorry. There is a Truemobile 1180 for laptops. Thought you were talking about that.

Should have read the original post better ...

I've got the 1180 mini-PCI card in an Inspiron 8200 and updated the drivers to the 1300 mini-PCI as you described... now I get an error in the device drivers stating that "the device cannot start."  I tried installing several other drivers in the list with the same results.  How were you guys able to get around this?

Thanks in advance!
