Wireless driver for inspiron 14r 5420
Just did a fresh install of Windows 8 on my inspiron 14r 5420 and installed all the drivers under chipset for Windows 8 OS. When I tried installing the wireless driver, specifically
which is the first one on the list it keeps saying 'Sorry, the requested file could not be downloaded.' . So because of this I don't have wireless on my laptop. What do I do?

Hi merric,
Please flash the BIOS to the latest version which is available for windows 8 from the link given below:

Click on ‘BIOS’ and install the latest version. Please connect the ac adapter as this step needs uninterrupted power supply. Do not use the system till it restarts and comes up to the desktop. Download the wireless driver from the link given below which is again comaptible with Windows 8:

When I click download for the dell bios I get the same " the requested file could not be downloaded"

I managed to flash the BIOS and on the device manager page i managed to install the driver for the bluetooth device but not the network controller so i have a yellow ? beside network controller. Also http://bit.ly/S59FPs does not work. it says network error.

Hi
I suggest that you down load the wireless driver from the same link that you first posted. Kinldy change the last word in the URL from False to True as shown in the picture below:

my OS windows 8 and my model no inspiron 5420. I also flash my bios with latest version and update all driver latest version. but my device manager shown issue network "controller" and "BCM43142A0" Driver is not install. I also face another problem on my laptop. webcam and bluetooth is not work properly. when I try to access my webcam shown notification close other video streaming app. Please anyone give me solution...
