AW725H Headset V1.8.1

AW725H Headset Dongle V1.1

Alienware R16 Desktop

AWCC V6.13.8.0

Windows 11 V25H2

The AW725H headphones work normally but the microphone doesn't pick up my voice unless the sound properties are open and the device is shown as being in use. Is there some setting that I'm missing where the microphone turns its self off unless there is an application explicitly trying to use it?

Example 1 - No audio recorded (Bluetooth or Dongle)

Start > System > Sound > Input (AW725H)

- Start a test and speak into microphone

- Play the test audio

- My voice is barely audible unless I yell as loud as I can directly into the microphone

Example 2 - Audio Records Normally (Bluetooth or Dongle)

Start > System > Sound > More Sound Settings > Sound dialog box opens

- Select the recording tab in the sound properties box

- ensure that the AW275H headset is enabled

- Leave the window open

Start > System > Sound > Input (AW725H)

- A yellow ribbon has appeared at the top of the screen indicating that "This device is currently in use. Chancing properties during use may cause audio application issues."

- Start a test and speak into microphone

- Play the test audio

- The audio recorded and played back normally
