broadband cards and providers

What other broadband cards are compatible with Inspirion E1505? Instead of purchasing the 5700 mobile broadband card from Dell, can I purchase a service from T-Mobile?  Will the Sony Ericsson GC89 work?

As far as I know, Dell is the only one selling Express Cards.  Unless the other brands are Express Cards they will not work because your computer does not have a PC Card slot, only an Express Card slot.   Steve

I bought a sony Gc89 and it did not work. I was told by tech support to get the pcima adapter to usb. After 239.00 later the sony card is not compatable with the u132 usb adapter. I have to send it all back and try again. Please let me know if you find out any more info.

You are exactly right. i bought a pcima to usb 32-bit adapter but it does not support the Sony card. Do you have any suggestions? i just need the laptop to get internet anywhere cell phone service is available.
