Have 2 34G hdd but messed up on the configuration and one has the whole amount  but one has only about 10mb lol says 1 drive handled by os, other by something else. can i make the other larger to its max and combined them to be as one drive without losing any data ?

and last but probably not least . I  am connected to a westell 6100 , ISP Verizon, it"s more of a router than a modem. Having alot of trouble making it a bridge .need to get all ports open . there"s no new info out there. its all at least 5 years old . I found the bridge in the  config but it conflicts with pppoe and dchp . http://192.168.1.1/htmlV/welcomeMain.htm  . thats the main page .

lol ya im a mess over here . and I hate asking for help cuz what i love most about this stuff is the troubleshooting . ut I can"t mess around too long with my ill wife and baby and the other 3 kids .

I can't answer for the rest of the devices here, and I believe the 5224 is fairly old, but this info may help. First, make sure you are setting your baud connection at 9600 for your console connection and then connect with Hyperterminal or other terminal software. After connecting via the console connection you can then configure an IP address on the switch by executing either of the following depending on the image you are running:

1) config

ip address 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0

end

or

2) config

int vlan 1

ip address 192.168.0.2 255.255.255.0

end

And then add a username and password as below:

config

username xxxxxx password xxxxxx

Now connect your PC to the switch via an ethernet cable and set you LAN connection on the PC to be in the same subnet: 192.168.0.3 mask = 255.255.255.0.

Now you can open up a web browser and enter in the IP address 192.168.0.2 and you can communicate with the switch via the device GUI.

I hope this helps........
