Force10 MXL blade servers cannot ping, not showing in ARP
I have 2 MXL in slots B1 and B2, and two blade servers with NICs in the B slot.
switch-b1 is the stack master, switch-b2 is the standby.
The links are up and autonegotiated properly, but the blade servers cannot see each other and they do not appear in the "show arp" output on the MXL shell.
all the ports are currently using portmode hybrid but I have also tried without that, and I have tried with all the ports on the default vlan as well as creating a new vlan 2 with all the ports untagged members.

at this point I would just like to see if I can get the switch to behave like an unmanaged layer 2 switch.... nothing is working except for the management interface and its arp table.

I've reset the interfaces back to default so many times last night..... then I go to sleep and wake up, do it again, and they are all pinging now, but my hosts still do not display in the "show arp" output.
That is odd, right?
