Force10 Stacking, backups and HTTP
Hi,
We have 2 Force10 48S switches that are stacked. I can connect to the management interface, but HTTP is not enabled. My questions are as follows:
1. When i connect, I connect to unit 1 ..If I backup to TFTP (which works fine) ..do I also need to somehow connect to unit 2 and do the same from there?
2. HTTP cannot be enabled, if i run #http-server http I get the error:
% Error: minihttpd not installed
Are we missing something? Is there some license or something that we did not purchase?
Sorry if its in the wrong place, i've just seen a post that said the Force10 forum isnt ready yet?
Kind Regards,
Jon

Hi Jon,
When you ran the command did you have #http-server did you include enable at the end?
#http-server enable
You can also view the current settings with show ip http
As outlined on this page http://www.force10networks.com/CSPortal20/TechTips/0067_HowDoIEnableNetworkManagementFunctions.aspx#HTTP
You may also need to install the Smartscripts for http support

Kind Regards,
Jon
