Hi,
What firmware version are you using? Are you using the out of band management or in band management?
February 9th, 2017 07:00
Try updating the firmware http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=P3F19&fileId=3594871950&osCode=NAA&productCode=networking-n4000-series&languageCode=en&categoryId=NI
There are some fixes that may help.

In band management
Ver 6.2.7.2
It seems that once I first set an IP and gateway ten it sets it in stone and cannot be changed
it can be vlan1 or any other vlan I create one crack at it and then its over :(

I guess, this would be the case if the vlan is down.
Is there any active switch port in vlan 1?
Cheers,
Robin
