PCT8164 QSFP+

Question

Hi All I used TwinAx QSFP+ cable to connect one S4820T & one PCT8164 switchs,it was not working, The QSFP+ LED indicator on those switchs didn't light. I used the same TwinAx cable to connect two S4820T, it was working. I used the same TwinAx cable to connect two 8164, it was working, too. I used QSFP+ active fiber to connect one S4820T & one PCT8164 switchs,it was working, The firmware of S4820T is v9.2, and the firmware of PCT8164 I had tried were v5.1.3.7 & v6.0.0.8. Does anyone have the same experience? Have any solutions? Thanks.

Hi Daniel Eventually, I tried to enable ' intf-type cr4 autoneg' on S4820T, and used QSFP+ DAC cable to connect S4820T and PCT8164, it was working. Thank you so much.

Hi Daniel Thank you for your information. I tried to set the speed to 10G on QSFP+ port in PCT8164, it was not working. console(config-if-Fo1/0/1)#speed 10000 Selected option is not supported on this interface. Thanks.

Hi Daniel Thank you so much. On PCT8164 switch, the negotiation of QSFP+ ports are 'off', and I use 'speed auto' command, the PCT8164 response the message ' Selected option is not supported on this interface.' And I try to set the PCT8164 speed to 100, 1000, 10000, 40000, the PCT8132 response the message ' Selected option is not supported on this interface.' , too. BTW, I can't find 'speed' command to set the S4820T QSFP+ port speed.
