Okay - so it looks like I need to move the Management VLAN from the default of 1.
Some questions - currently the PowerConnect 6248 switch stack has the IP address 172.16.4.253 and is connected to my Firewall 172.16.4.254. All client workstations are in the 172.16.4.0/24 subnet and have the default gateway 172.16.4.254.
If I were to move the Management VLAN, how would I go about doing this. Will I need to give it a different IP in a different subnet?
*Edit* It looks like I can remove the 172.16.4.253 IP address from the switch and issue an 'ip address vlan 10' command to move the management VLAN.
How will I still be able to access the switch remotely? Once that command is issued, will VLAN 1 become routable?
