Restore 3048 to Factory Defaults
I have a Powerconnect 3048 that does not ask for a Username but asks for a password when I try and connect to the interface via a serial port. It is not IP addressed.
Is there a way that I can restore to factory defaults without connecting to the interface?

You must have access to one of the management interfaces to reset the defaults on the switch. If an unknown password has been configured, you must use the password recovery procedure to gain access to the switch. Once logged into the switch, you can either disable the password protection or reset the defaults on the switch.
