Setting with Cisco switch.
Hi there,
I'm a beginner engineer.
Maybe its problem is so easy to you guys.. , please help me.
I wonder why around "WS-C3560E-24TD-S" ports are Designated port.. even though Dell 8024F is Root switch.
Cisco WS-C3560E-24TD-S's STP mode : PVST
Dell 8024F, 7024P's STP mode : RSTP
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After configuring like upper picture, I configured STP mode from PVST, RSTP to MSTP whole switches (Dell & Cisco)
Therefore, PC does not communicate with Internet.
I don't know where do I handle it.
Thank you.

1. I want CISCO Switch is root switch
2. First time I set STP mode to MST whole switches
but PC does not communicate Internet...
so I changed STP mode like pictures mode.
If I want these network design(in the picture situation), should I set mode to MST ?
Thank you.

You said :
"How are your ports configured for the switch to switch connection? How is the port configured that connects your client? What device is the line sharer?"
I say :
I don't tell you exactly because the purpose I set is just " test" for my skill up.
Line sharer : Korean company's "ipTIME"
I really wonder why these network have 2 root switches..
I have known that one network has one root switch.
I think that's because I set mode different each other. right?..
Thanks,

Thank you expert.
but I am still not understanding your word "then you would run into an issue where other VLAN traffic could not connect to the rest of the network."
(run = solve?)
Could you convert another word...these sentence?..
Please.

Ok:)
Then,I should configure STP mode same thing.
But, you know, cisco(WS-C3560E-24TD-S) has 'mst, pvst, rapid-pvst'..
Among them, pvst and rapid-pvst is cisco exclusive.
So... I'm wondering whether I should set STP mode "MST" which is IEEE standard.
So!
Should I configure it to MST mode?..
