Stack Port Link Down momentarily

Question

Hello: We ran into a strange issue 2 days ago on the PowerConnect M6348. The switches are installed in a M1000e chassis. It lost connectivity for one minute. It then reconnected after one minute. When the switch was 'down' during that minute, we lost connectivity to the machines that are connected to it. After the recovery, the M1000e chassis web screen shows 'A failure is detected on IO module A1'. I tried to access the switch via the http web gui. But that is no longer available. The only way I can get into the switch is through ssh. But I got nothing so far. Another strange thing is, when I issued command 'show system', I notice the switch said one of the power supply has error. As far as I know, there is no power supply in the blade switch. I posted the 'show system' & 'show version' output below. Can anyone give me some pointers as to how to identify the reason behind the 'Stack Port Link Down'? Hi,

What version is the CMC firmware at? The latest switch firmware release fixes the issue with the power supply reporting failed. It also fixes some issues with stack members crashing which could be why it says it lost connection. The CMC is at firmware 4.30. The switch is at 5.1.0.1. Looks like we need the upgrade the firmware first to see if it happen again. The problem is upgrading the firmware required rebooting the switch. I will to check with my team to see what is the best game plan.
