Can anyone help? Tech support is useless!

I received my Vostro 1720 laptop running Windows 7 on Dec 16.  On the 19th Started to have problems.  Randomly, the keyboard will lock on start up and I can not type a password to enter a user profile.  Occasionally, it will type, but won't recognize the password.  Both cases require a reboot.  Part of the time I"m on line, the system will crash and go to blue screen.  I started my tech support journey on Dec 22.  Online chat and an afternoon of running diagnostics with no results.  A 2 hour call resulted in tech support suggesting a new user profile-no fix there.  Another 2 hour call suggested a new BIOS driver.  Downloaded new driver which made the problem worse.  Have done system restore back to the first date available.  I've been on the phone a total of over 5 hours with no solution.  Now they say I will have to pay $129 for soft ware tech support on a brand new computer!  I am ready to return it for a full refund.  I have had Dell computers for over 7 years, but this one stinks!!  Any thoughts!

I'd return it PRONTO. As I recall you only have 21 days from when the PC was shipped.
