D630, USB Output Voltage
We have procured a Dell D630 Latitude and connectied it to a projector 30' (Cable Length) away. The output signal from the VGA port is not sufficient to send the video to the projector. We are looking at purchasing a VGA/QXGA Line driver which will draw power from the USB port. The MFR specification for the Line Driver states that the USB port must have over 100 mA output.
Does anyone know the actual output voltage of a latitude D630's USB Ports?

most usb ports will supply 500mA. To check yours open device manager. click on the Universial Bus controllers line to expand it.
Click on a USB root hub line then right click to select properties. The select the power tab. at the top of the popup it will state the max power If you have nothing connected to that particular usb hub the amout of power being supplied will be 0 mA
