Dell Media Direct

Can I disable Dell Media Direct without causing problems for my Dell Studio 1735 lap top and how do I do it?

Any help will be appreciated because this program takes over my computer and interrupts usually while I am filling out an on line form. It is annoying me and need relief from this intrusive program.

I HAVE A 1735 Studio using Vista Premium home

I'm not entirely sure about this Frank, so you might want to wait to see if anyone has a definitive answer for you, before you try my second suggestion?

You *may* be able to stop it auto-running quickly easily, by opening Control Panel --> Performance Information and Tools, and then clicking on 'Manage Startup Programs' on the left.

If it doesn't show in there, try disabling - or even uninstalling QuickSet, to see if that makes any difference?

I saw another post where it was appearing quite frequently and there were no replies with a solution.

It seems only fair that Dell offer a solution since it''s their program.
