Help with Graphics Card XPS210
Hello,
I installed video editing software and I am having problems with the graphics and it runs slow. Per my records I have a 'Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3000' and '1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz-2DIMMS'. The software indicates it needs a directX 9 or 10 graphics/video card.
Is there a way to upgrade to this video card? Do I have enough memory?
Thank you,
Frances

Looks like you have a basic integrated graphics controller. As you have discovered, you'll need a more powerful card for video editing. There are many graphics cards which you can add to your machine. You'll just have to do a bit of research and see which one meets your needs. Most times, when you install a graphics card, the on-board controller is automatically disabled. If not, you can disable it in the BIOS.
BTW, another GB of RAM would certainly be beneficial. RAM is pretty cheap these days.
