Inspiron 5566 ram problem

I have an Inspiron 5566 touch screen.

I was using it the other day just fine. It wasn't plugged in and charging at the time, just running off of the battery. The battery started to get very low, so I closed the laptop (without shutting it down) to go find the charger. I came back with the charger and found that the laptop has completely shut off, and I assumed the battery must have died. I plugged it into the charger and attempted to power it on, but nothing happened. The charging like would blink once white, then would blink orange several times. I decided to let it charge for a little while instead. After an hour on the charger I came back and tried to power on again--- but the problem remained. I did a little googling, and some people suggested a ram issue. Just for the heck of it I removed all power sources and then removed the ram. Plugged the battery back in, and powered on. It worked! Once the laptop was back on I performed a proper shutdown. Removed power sources again, reinstalled ram, and tried to power back on. Nothing! Just the same orange blinking on the charging light. Removed ram again, powered back on, and ran a system refresh. After that I reinstalled the ram and tried to power it on again, but it still wouldn't work.

What gives??? This is the original ddr4 4gb ram that came with the inspiron.
