What is 'Next Business Day Support'?

Hi,

I'd like to know what 'Next Business Day Support' means. Is this the same as 'Next Business Day On-Site Service' or something else?

At the moment, I'm interested in a Dell-refurbished Latitude laptop on the ebay.co.uk and the actual laptop is in the US. The listing only says it has 3 years Dell Manufacturer Warranty. When I asked the seller about it, what I got were unclear answers.

"The way the warranty was designed by Dell is it must be registered using a USA based address."

Above was the first answer I got. And after further question, I got this.

"This is all we can find out: According to dell it has :"Next Business Day Support" till jan 2017"

I don't know what exactly 'Next Business Day Support' means. I know there are warranties called 'Next Business Day On-Site Service' and 'Next Business Day ProSupport', but never heard of ''Next Business Day Support'. Is this something new?

As I'm in the UK and the laptop is in the US, the warranty must be transferable after purchase. And I heard that only 'Next Business Day On-Site Service' is transferable internationally.

Could anyone shed a light on the matter?

Many Thanks in advance.

LealMusic,

The USA to UK warranty transfer can be difficult on a system we sold. 10x difficult for resellers. USA and UK warranty specifications differ and may not transfer. These ebay sellers move computers from region to region without any real knowledge of our policies. You might get a laptop from them that originally sold out of Dell Japan. My advice, find the laptop you want from the Dell UK Outlet site, NOT an ebay seller. Our site will explain your warranty offerings.
