reinstalling ubuntu on corrupted mini 9
I bought 2 minis in February with Ubuntu installed on them. In June updates arrived to be downloaded. Unluckily, these updates overloaded the memory. I have now received from Dell an Ubuntu disk and a new Addonics CD/DVD drive. I want to reinstall the original Ubuntu. I expected a file to say install.exe or setup or some such on the disk. No such file on the disk. I have tried to just double click each file, but so far nothing has happened. Can anyone tell me what to do. I'm obviously not bilingual in Ubuntu, darn it.

first backup your files on a usb storage device then restart the system with the cd in the drive and connected to the system.
then when it starts op press F12 for bootselection and chose usb device then it starts the instalation from the Ubuntu CD :)

can you please tell me exactly what you told dell was the problem.. they couldnt resolve mine. we bought ours in jan and need to do exactly what you did.

Hi Boswell, This is what you need to do, call 8006249896 tell them that your Ubuntu has overloaded and you need the system disk. They will immediately ship it to you. If you do not have an external CD drive that can handle Linux, you will need one. Since the only one I had is at least 100 years old, I bought a new one. Once you have disk drive and CD the directions say to load using F12. Of course mini 9 doesn't have an F12 so you have to use the 0 (zero) key. From there on just follow the screen directions.
