5050 MT, power problem

I just purchased DELL Optiplex 5050 from CompuGhana in my region.

However, the desktops do not work with my organisation's plants. They sometimes power on but some other time they don't. I suggested a UPS and was thinking if it will solve the issue. We don't want to waste money again on UPS which won't solve the issue.

Do you think UPS is the way to go??

Many thanks

For a desktop, a UPS is never a "waste of money". More like a requirement.

I suggest a good one, like an APC (with LCD and AVR) ... or similar.

The best way to know without wasting money on a UPS first would be to check the power coming out of your sockets, and make sure it is within the margins of the PSU. check the voltage and amps over a period of time to make sure it isn't dipping or spiking, if it is, a UPS will most likely solve this unless they are severe spikes.
